SC300 VVTi Swap Part 2

Here's part 2 of the swap, we got the stock rear subframe out and installed the Supra subframe this weekend. This took about 4 hours but half the time was spent moving and trying to figure out how to put things back so that we wouldn't need to keep lifting and moving subframes around. Rest of the pictures are located here.

More info on this ECU can be seen at www.proefi.com or youtube.

This is the ECU that will be controlling the VVTi and Drive by Wire on the 1998+ 2JZ-GTE motor.

SC300 VVTi Swap Part 1

Half the work involved moving and cleaning the 2nd bay. It didn't take too long to get the drain fluids, remove exhaust, driveshaft and front section of the engine bay. The dirty work was done by a friend, a very helpful friend. He thinks he may be liking the SC300 enough to possibly pick one up in the future.

Brisk Silver Racing Plugs

These are very good plugs for the price, they run $11 dollars each for the plugs that go on 2JZ-GTE motors. I've never had misfiring on these plugs for 6 months running E85 using AEM V1 with DLI. I've sold a couple of sets to the MZM International guys and they like it alot running on their high powered 4G63 setups.
